Here's a glimpse of Bar and Gery's story:
During the Covid madness, Bar, Gery, Theo and Ligia began their emigration to Israel. They traveled from Tucumán to Buenos Aires and then Paris, a total of 35 hours of travelling until they landed in Eretz Israel, loaded with dreams and longings. For the first eight months, they lived in a kibbutz Neot Mordekhai in the north of Israel, similar to the Garden of Eden. They moved to Haifa because they always knew it was the city for them: culture, diversity, sea and mountains. Bar worked as a cook, as a screenwriter and as a seamstress. Gery learned how to make ice cream and was happy trying it repeatedly. But Bar and Gery missed each other so much that they decided to venture out and do something together. They asked for a loan at the bank and decided to open the doors of their house to invite their flavors, aromas but above all, to meet new friends.

Get it Right in Haifa is a collaboration between the Department for Immigration Absorption of the Haifa Municipality with ESRA & Gvahim - two established and well-known NGOs, who joined forces to provide olim with a single holistic solution. Together, we offer a one-stop shop for olim to establish themselves personally, professionally, and socially.
